Welcoming Mikko Avikainen

Mikko Avikainen joins Step Forward Partners, bringing a very interesting Operational Risk,  Cyber Security and Security Governance experience to our team.  

Mikko brings more than 15 years of experience from the Telco & Banking technology space working as a solutions Architect, Trainer and Expert Cyber Security Consultant delivering Security Assessments, Consultancy and Compliance Validation for clients across the world. He has deep knowledge of IT and Operational Risk within the banking sphere having delivered Vulnerability Assessments, Penetration testing, Security Assessments and Audits. Experienced in Project Management, Training and building Security Governance frameworks.  

Mikko has a Bachelor degree in Engineering and Data Networks from Jyvaskyla University of Applied Sciences, Finland. His computing skills include Perl, Python, Ruby, Java and c/C++ programming and shell scripting. Nessus/QualysGuard/Nexpose, OpenVas, Backtrack/Metasploit, Burp, Cain, Nmap, Nipper and many other tools used for security assessments and pentesting. He is CISSP, SWIFT CSP and ITIL certified. 

He can assist with ISO/IEC 27000 Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) certification, PCI DSS and SWIFT CSP compliance for your organisation.
